Conclusions
1.With the completion of this work, we can conclude that bilingualism is considered as the domain or ability to communicate with two or more languages, properly handling the grammatical and semantic requirements of the languages involved, understanding the importance of respect for the cultural characteristics of people. involved in the communicative situation.
2.In addition, it was possible to recognize that the term bicultural is expressed when a person has the competence to interact with diverse cultural contexts regardless of the norms and rules of said contexts. In a school environment, bilingualism and biculturalism differ in that the first focuses on the curriculum teaching English and while the other includes the culture of the student.
3.It was also possible to recognize that bilingual education programs in Colombia focus directly on teaching the English language as preparation for a working world and very little in spaces where respect and appreciation of the native languages of minorities are contributed, since the majority of its policies are based on the construction of knowledge.
